Learning and Development

We realise that the learning and development needs of our staff have to move with the market we work in, which is why we're continuing to upgrade our investment in this area. Already a holder of Investors in People, we've significantly increased the amount of training within Principality over recent years.

Our ground floor Training Suite in Cardiff provides a spacious learning environment that is supported by custom-designed regional training centres in North and West Wales. All provide comfortable and well-equipped training and meeting rooms, incorporating state-of-the-art audio visual equipment to allow us to deliver cutting-edge courses and workshops.

Training activity

Our training starts with your 'Welcome Day' course and follows from there. As well as the regulatory, IT and product courses you'd expect, we also offer personal development courses like assertiveness, time planning and interpersonal skills. We also have a specialist team of trainers dedicated to supporting all branch staff, and our own in house management development consultants who can offer a wide variety of solutions to your leadership development needs. So whatever your needs; we'll almost certainly have the right course for you.

Our learning and development intranet site offers links providing details of available courses, resources, a self-development library and a distance-learning section. It also allows you to:

  • carry out distance tests to monitor your knowledge
  • improve your IT skills with our internationally recognized online training package


We'll actively support your development and help you to obtain the qualifications you need to carry out your job and progress your career. And to make sure you get the best out of your skills and qualifications, we'll provide support from a specialist consultant for you too.
